چکیده

In the oil and gas industry, wax formation deposition are common problems, particularly during production transportation. To better understand expected behaviour of a given waxy crude consequently select best solution to prevent deposition, it is vital conduct laboratory tests or numerical simulations model its performance. For Brazilian field, phase 17 oils was modelled using Multiflash software. tune model, were used, including true boiling point curves viscosity tests. This study followed two stages: first allowed characterization appearance temperature (WAT) determination precipitation for these samples, second stage evaluation impact on after addition methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2) fatty acid (CH3(CH2)nCOOH). Results showed that WAT varied between 47.5 °C 51.6 samples at atmospheric pressure, considering differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) method. Furthermore, percentage mass formed 13.3% 18.3%. By adding aforementioned chemicals as an inhibitor, possible observe reduction in paraffin tendency. Inhibition compared terms effectiveness studied, concluded myristic (C14:0), oleic (C18:1), palmitic (C16:0), lauric (C12:0) most effective reducing value. fact, when 25% mole fraction, CH4 CO2 can reduce value by up 4%, but results strongly dependent fluid pressure. Myristic 5%, less pressure dependent.

Nonlinear Rheology, Yielding, and Constitutive Modeling of Waxy Crude Oils

In this work, the rheological behavior of a group of model crude oils is experimentally studied at temperatures below their wax appearance temperature (WAT). We consider both a two-component wax-oil system and a three-component oil-water emulsion that is partially stabilized by precipitated wax. We characterize the shear-localization and yielding using a combined approach of bulk rheometry and ...

Do fatty acids affect fetal programming?

BACKGROUND In this study discussed the primary and regulatory roles of fatty acids, and investigated the affects of fatty acids on metabolic programming. METHODS Review of the literature was carried out on three electronic databases to assess the roles of fatty acids in metabolic programming. All abstracts and full-text articles were examined, and the most relevant articles were selected for ...

Effective Self-Preservation of Methane Hydrate Particles in Crude Oils

In this work we investigated the behavior of methane hydrates dispersed in crude oils from different fields at temperatures below 0°C. In case of crude oil emulsion the size of water droplets is in the range of 50÷100μm. The size of hydrate particles formed from droplets is the same. The self-preservation is not expected in this field. However, the self-preservation of hydrates with the size of...
